With Revo FLOW, you can import customers in bulk using CSV files separated by ";". The first row must contain the headers with the field names exactly as described below.

BEFORE YOU START

CSV IMPORTER

In Revo FLOW, the import described in this article lets you create customers using CSV. The headers must exactly match those listed in the section Import customers.

CUSTOMERS

1. IMPORT CUSTOMERS (CUSTOMERS)

Import customers in bulk using a CSV file.

IMPORTANT: Each field name in the header must be exactly the same as shown in the table.

Incorrect: Last_name / LAST_NAME / last name

IMPORTANT: Check that the first header is exactly name, with no spaces or additional characters.
NOTE: The import accepts first names and surnames with fewer than 3 characters. However, when you later edit the customer using the FLOW form, these values may be marked as invalid because the manual form requires at least 3 characters.
2. EXPORT AND ADAPT CUSTOMER DATA

If you already have customers in Revo FLOW, you can export them and use the file as a starting point for a new import.

  1. Export the customers.
Go to Reports → Customers and use the option Export CSV.
  2. Open the exported file.
The exported CSV contains more columns than are needed for an import.
  3. Keep the fields you want to import.
You can keep name, last_name, phone and email. If you need to import notes, add a column named notes.
  4. Remove the columns that are not part of this import.
Remove promotions_accepted, addresses, edit and delete.
  5. Review the data.
Check that each customer has a valid value in name and that the first header is exactly name.
  6. Save the file as CSV.
Keep the semicolon (;) as the separator.
  7. Import the file.
Open the Revo FLOW customer CSV importer, select the prepared file and run the import.
  8. Check the result.
Return to Reports → Customers and check that the customers and their data have been created correctly.

IMPORTANT: The exported CSV structure does not exactly match the import structure. Before reusing it, adapt its columns using the table in Import customers.
3. CUSTOMER ADDRESSES

Addresses are not imported using the customer CSV.

Although the CSV exported from FLOW includes an addresses column, this information is not used when importing customers. Addresses must be added later from the customer record.

Once the customer has been imported, open their record, go to Addresses and click New.
