The Cegid User is your personal digital identity within the Cegid Revo ecosystem. It lets you access the new Cegid Revo Control 2.0 app in one place and, gradually, the other solutions you have subscribed to.
In this article we explain what it is, what its benefits are and how it works.
Find out what the Cegid User is and how it differs from the Control 1 model.
1What is the Cegid User?
It is your unique, non-transferable credential, based on your email address and a personal password.
It replaces the old model, in which each location or account required a different username and password. With the Cegid User, you unify all your access under a single identity.
The Cegid User is strictly personal. Each employee, manager or administrator must create their own with their work email.
Three benefits of signing in with a single identity.
2Main benefits
- Single access to Control 2.0. It is the standard, secure way to access the new platform.
- Ready for the Cegid Revo ecosystem. In the future, you will use these same credentials to sign in to any other tool in the suite that you have subscribed to.
- Simplified management. Group all your locations or establishments in a single entry panel.
Sign-up is done only once, from the Control 1 app or from the back-office.
3How to create your Cegid User
Sign-up is done only once from either of these two starting points:
- From the Control 1 app: tap Go in the information message that appears when you open the app.
- From the back-office: click the Control 2.0 tab in the side menu of Revo XEF or Cegid Revo Retail.
Summary of the sign-up process
- Tap Continue on the initial single sign-on screen.
- In Cegid ID, select Sign up.

- Choose your preferred sign-up method:
- Social account: with your Apple, Google or Microsoft ID.
- Manual form: enter your name and email, and create a personal password.

- Follow the on-screen instructions and tap Sign up to confirm.
To see the complete process step by step, see the guide Cegid Revo Control 2.0: Sign-up process (Onboarding).
Use the email address linked to your usual Control account.
Which accounts you will see depends on where you sign up.
4Which accounts will be linked to your user?
Once registration is complete, your locations and establishments are linked automatically:
- Sign-up from Control 1: all the accounts you had previously saved in the app are imported.
- Sign-up from the back-office: the specific account you were working in on the back-office is linked.
How access changes when you manage several establishments.
